Fast prefix search and AI semantic search across the catalog.
The search bar at the top of every page looks across product titles and descriptions. There are two layers:
Prefix search (instant)
As you type, NShop matches the start of words in product titles and descriptions. This is fast and works offline of any AI service.
AI semantic search (when configured)
When the store has the agent service enabled, the search bar also accepts intent-style queries — "something warm for hiking in October", "gift for my dad who likes coffee" — and returns matches by meaning rather than exact wording. Product embeddings are recomputed in the background whenever an admin updates a product.
If both layers find results, exact matches are shown first.
Inside the chat assistant
You can also ask the floating chat assistant — it has the same search tools and can show product cards inline. See AI features.
